The Dead Internet Theory first surfaced around 2021, gaining traction on online forums and social media. It speculates that most of the content we see – tweets, comments, reviews, and even articles – could be created by automated bots or AI, possibly controlled by corporations, or influential groups. The theory points to a decline in organic online engagement, replaced by algorithm-driven, bot-generated content. 

 Why Do People Believe in the Dead Internet Theory? 

Several factors fuel this theory:

Ever notice how similar content seems to crop up everywhere? The same memes, articles, and trending topics circulate on multiple platforms, often shared within seconds. Some argue this synchronicity is too perfect to be organic.
